A 16-year-old female driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries, but her parents are in serious condition after a rollover incident that happened at around 11 p.m., Wednesday, September 10 on Interstate 80.
Authorities said the driver was traveling along I80 when she swerved to dodge tire debris shed by a vehicle in front of her. She veered off road and plunged into an embankment before overturning at mile post 99 near the Tooele-Salt Lake County boundary.
The driver was rushed to an area hospital in Royce, while the two passengers were airlifted to University Hospital in Salt Lake City.
