Ford Airbag Recall
The Ford Motor Company recently released a recall notice for its Escape SUV crossover and C-Max hybrid after evidence emerged that a glitch in the vehicle’s programming software may cause side curtain airbags to delay deployment in the event of a rollover accident. This glitch may place passengers at greater risk of suffering serious injuries if an accident occurs.
Drivers and passengers who have suffered injuries as a result of an accident involving a Ford Escape or C-Max in which the side-curtain rollover airbags failed to deploy correctly may be entitled to recover compensation to help them deal with the resulting costs of their injuries and other losses. If you have suffered injuries in an accident involving Ford airbag defects, the lawyers from the Auto Defects know how badly you may have been hurt, and we work tirelessly on behalf of injury victims to see that vehicle manufacturers are held accountable for the consequences of their negligence.
Injuries from Defective Side-Curtain Rollover Airbags
The recall of Ford C-Max and Escape vehicles over concerns about potential problems with the side-curtain rollover airbags is a response to the fact that airbag defects are some of the most serious and dangerous vehicle defects that can occur. Should an airbag fail to deploy properly and on-time, especially in a rollover accident, drivers and passengers could suffer a range of serious injuries, including:
- Bones fractures / breaks
- Traumatic brain injury
At the Auto Defects, we are fully prepared to help clients who have suffered these or any other injuries resulting from problems with their Ford C-Max or Escape’s airbags to fight for the compensation they need. The recall is expected to begin on May 26, and owners of these vehicles will be able to have their vehicles repaired for free.
